white linens billow
against a green
backdrop
flowers bounce
swaying- –
their upturned faces
bright paint splotches
glowing in golden sun- –
children smile
in shades of melon
and sun fire red
glowing
through blue
water- –

Summer smiles
through the sorrow
in your eyes- –
searching for
your own piece
of peace within,
without speaking
your wishes or wants
coming in
and stepping out
of loss- -summer
isn’t really cold- –
hold on to that

I’ll give you
moonlight  blue butterflies
and okra blossom kisses- –
little summer blessing smiles- –
dawning a new fire
to sparkle your eyes- –
patchwork pieces
of peace for you
in the shifting
of long days
running
through summer
searching.

I want to feel
cool rain
tingling
down
my spine
mingling
with skin
and summer sun- –
feel it
splashing there
where your hand
should rest,
there where
your lips
could find me- –
bind me
up inside- -out,
testing my will.

Open wide
the rainbow curtain- –
curve your light
on me
fill my heart
with summer
love colors.

Gracefully,
summer’s
magnificent
evolution
explodes.

Open- -ready,
I reach
for your light.

My sweetest man,
dress me
in crystal kisses.
We are summer
in every season.

Love- –
such a sweet
blossoming
within.

Collecting thoughts- –
pretty rocks
to fill my pockets- –
dreams kept
for long nights running
backward in slow motion
waiting for you to find
me between the lines.

Icy night wind mourns
the summer still locked
away deep in my heart- –
where sea spray comes
dancing amid the gulls
and your shining smile- –
a bright sun warming
my toes in the sand.

I can’t stand waiting
for so long
between sunshine kisses.
Collecting thoughts- –
pretty rocks- -to keep you
in my pocket- -safe,
a cold night’s dream
while mourning summer.

Wild Flowers in Sister's Grove.

Hay scent
wild flowers
freshly mown grass
rose blossoms- –
                            and rain
summer perfumes wind
– -dances with sunlight
glinting golden your skin
your eyes, taking in the world- –
the wilderness

I love Rocky Mountain summers
especially here in your arms
where summer grows forever- –
I’ll always find it
playing in your eyes
even when heavy rain
comes flooding the blossoms

Moon’s glow holds
your secret safe within me- -your
locket for love, I am.
Sublime sanctuary- -you- –
my gentle addiction- –
your voice
calming silk threads
feathering my skin- -coming
to me in twilight solitude,
a warm summer breeze
kissed with light rain.- -You
my refrain from the light
of things darkness never knows.
Coming in the darkness- -sweet
shadow’s whispering mist
delivering me from the abyss.
Streaming contrasts- -gleaming
black, white- -darkest knight,
though angel bright- -your love,
vast extremes- -no in-between
just these moments- – loneliness
no more than a firefly flitting by- –
you whisper those calming
rain kissed silk threads
softly over my skin- -I sigh.
You, my sublime sanctuary
from the ugly light of things.
Soft caress- -again
again my gentle addiction
my twilight apparition- –
