Bristlecone pine
atop granite spire- –
my perch
all thought
beyond this
a blur

I listen
to all things
natural
view things- -eyes closed
I feel them
filling me up
senses saturated
with tranquil light
smell, touch, sound- -wisdom
has no bounds
spoken in silences
deeper
louder
than any
cloud burst
can sing
I open wide
my being

Serenity

Moon sparks ignite
dancing fairies
across water
lapping laughter
along the shore.
Mountains- –
guardians of
serenity- –
whisper softly.
Twilight’s shadows
play around us.
Your kiss gently
feathers my nape.
Embracing- -night
angels smile down.
We know right here
– -now, all the world
we need engulfs
us- -wilderness peace.
Heaven blossoms
above this love,
our love- –
the place to be.
