Spring- –
winter
unfurls
its feathered wings.
Cold white linen
spreads
over yarrow,
again it hides
for a time.
Oh, how the seasons
push and shove my moods

I yearn for tomorrow’s
return of spring- –
and your sunny smile
warming me
in shades of love
I haven’t dreamed
of yet.  Birds trilling
the way Cyndi sings
“Time After Time”
– -all emotion
the birdsong
warming me
afterall- -sun
will shine
in your eyes.

Moth in moonlight- –
I’m drawn to you
this way
your eyes hold me
captive- -feeling
spellbound
you move through me
in a single sigh
we mingle- -meld
melt in silence
I want to curl up
with you on spring
green pillows- -purr,
content to be
captive and captivating
content to be
warm with you
let me curl up
and captivate you
in spring’s greening.

(Thank you for being my muse once in a while.)

I want to feel
cool rain
tingling
down
my spine
mingling
with skin
and summer sun- –
feel it
splashing there
where your hand
should rest,
there where
your lips
could find me- –
bind me
up inside- -out,
testing my will.

Open wide
the rainbow curtain- –
curve your light
on me
fill my heart
with summer
love colors.

Not Written

So red,
your voice broke
against my heart- –
slipping my soul
ripping
purple
twilight
dreams
shredding
the sheets
of hope

a love note
not written

Gray- -blustery weather
– -infringement on my flesh.

Warm in your eyes,
yes- -your eyes turn me
inside out- -aching for more
than a smile gives in a coffee shop.
I’m yours anywhere- -licking
whipped cream
from a five o’clock mustache- –
snacking lips play games.
Touch me- -tangle up my heart,
warm desire- -quickly
tuck me into you- -need
needs taming.

My hand in yours- –
one snow crystal in a blizzard.
I’m all yours- –
melt me.

Mom and a Sis, and Mom.

She was a tear- -a stone,
the sun and moon traversed the sky
to brighten her dreams.
Her dreams glittered star dust.
She had it all- -gave it all
right from the start
– -love in her heart.
She was inspiration,
singer of songs- -weaver
of pallets for sleeping
– -maker of clothing and dolls,
a keeper of the old ways- –
keeper of names and truth,
burning sage- -cleansing soul.
She was a daughter of Earth- –
granddaughter of the moon- –
a sister, wife, mother, grandmother.
Her dreams glittered star dust.
She was a giver- -bringer- –
passer of light- –
flame on a candle
in the darkness burning- –
bright smiles, warmth, compassion.
She was a voice of prayer- –
balance and measure
of night and day.
She knew about loss- -hardship
and how to survive
on love.
She had it all- -gave it all
right from the start
– -love in her heart.

Fierce wind
                   bitter- –
                   cold,
your eyes
not so much- –
                   thankfully.
Your arms
encircle me- –
against your body
a pocket of love.
