Continuous rain a blessing- –
no words from heaven
to moisten dry spaces
where my love and herbs
                                 wont grow.
A word barrel full of rain
never has much to say.

AMemorial2013.

I thought this would be appropriate for memorial day.  Dad and mom, and two of my older sisters.  What a great family we have been.  We did not have much, but we had love.  That was more than enough, and truly all that mattered.  The nature of love is by design, an undying mystery.  I have to say, love never stops when they pass.  It is just as strong as the day I was born.  That magnificent energy just spreads out, encompassing everyone and everything.  I am so thankful for that.

I am also infinitely thankful to all soldiers, who have, and are laying their lives on the line for our country.  Their courage and love is so powerful, it will linger with us for ever.

cool mountain rain
sweet grass and pine scented
puddles mirror the sky- –
dancing in your eyes
resplendent
sun lingers
in all the right places
breeze stirred surfaces
reminiscent of love

love
you’ve always had me
this way
a dancing rain
comfortable- -soft droplets
against your skin
glistening
ready to linger
in all the right places

Spring- –
winter
unfurls
its feathered wings.
Cold white linen
spreads
over yarrow,
again it hides
for a time.
Oh, how the seasons
push and shove my moods

I yearn for tomorrow’s
return of spring- –
and your sunny smile
warming me
in shades of love
I haven’t dreamed
of yet.  Birds trilling
the way Cyndi sings
“Time After Time”
– -all emotion
the birdsong
warming me
afterall- -sun
will shine
in your eyes.

Water falls
blue- –
your
eyes
spill
splash
my careening heart
still needs you
wild
love- –
washing
through
my soul- –
wish you were here
in this falling
all over me again.

Eyes closed,
I walk my fingers
over faces I hold
dear and familiar,
absorbing distinct features- –
textures,
a meditation on life,
                                       love.

Smooth autumn leaf faces
awaiting wind’s whispered magic,
to be feathers- –
aloft and dancing.
A cool granite face,
spiked and dimpled- –
dappled lichen scales curl
across the surface.
Times imprints- –
bedtime stories
of musty earth.
Wrinkled pine bark,
a rough face- -weathered
cloaked in whiskered wisps
of tangled moss
tells of north wind’s
brutal snow- –
life in stages- -staged by nature.

Familiar faces,
life’s changes- –
the future of pasts
always present- -ghosts- –
reality and memory,
imagery- -sentience,
eternal love being light.
I read textures in longhand,
the way I write love notes
to lovers I’ll never know- –
knowing those I’ve loved,
I will always love.
Their features immortalized
in natures textures.
Eyes closed,
sentient- –
I walk among the faces
I hold dear and familiar.

Gracefully,
summer’s
magnificent
evolution
explodes.

Open- -ready,
I reach
for your light.

My sweetest man,
dress me
in crystal kisses.
We are summer
in every season.

Love- –
such a sweet
blossoming
within.
