Bristlecone pine
atop granite spire- –
my perch
all thought
beyond this
a blur

I listen
to all things
natural
view things- -eyes closed
I feel them
filling me up
senses saturated
with tranquil light
smell, touch, sound- -wisdom
has no bounds
spoken in silences
deeper
louder
than any
cloud burst
can sing
I open wide
my being

I need
to stroll through
the peaceful
mountain
valley
of you- –
gather up
a few smiles- –
flowers of thought- –
energy electric- –
I want to
linger
in your light- –
bright heart- –
dance
in the shower
of rushing
falling love
spilling
blue-gold droplets
of serenity
over me- –
I could sleep
there
in your magic.

Man,
you lure me
into
the mystery
of you.

Come- –
stroll with me- –
in all directions
love grows- –
without condition.

white linens billow
against a green
backdrop
flowers bounce
swaying- –
their upturned faces
bright paint splotches
glowing in golden sun- –
children smile
in shades of melon
and sun fire red
glowing
through blue
water- –

Summer smiles
through the sorrow
in your eyes- –
searching for
your own piece
of peace within,
without speaking
your wishes or wants
coming in
and stepping out
of loss- -summer
isn’t really cold- –
hold on to that

I’ll give you
moonlight  blue butterflies
and okra blossom kisses- –
little summer blessing smiles- –
dawning a new fire
to sparkle your eyes- –
patchwork pieces
of peace for you
in the shifting
of long days
running
through summer
searching.

humid- -sleepless
giant moon
on cottonwood
leaves flicker- –
crickets chirrup

entwined
on mossy banks
we sip kisses
purple flowers nod- –
acquiescent

lazy river drifts
stars shift
chasing moon
time grows weary
reaching
for our hearts- –
                             too busy
                             spending time

Cocoa Beach Sunset

Cocoa Beach Sunset (Photo credit: JessicaGarbe)

Warm salty breeze,
heavy- -moist,
buffets my body- –
a divine sweet wine
I take in sipped breaths
and savor.
Silver moon sparks
across rolling waves- –
suddenly spent lovers
crashing- -lying down
in a rushing hush,
energy aglow.
Silence
broken only by
tidal love’s urgent surge
bursting my heart
giving and taking,
pushing- -pulling,
its steady breathing my
constant companion tonight.
                                                         Alone on a balcony
                                                         I take in Cocoa Beach,
make it a part of me- –
                                                         future trinket
                                                         for my memory box.
                                                         With gossamer wings
                                                         I would fly slowly
                                                         over the glittered
                                                         charcoal horizon- –
                                                         listening to wind
                                                         rushing in the night,
                                                         become bright moon
                                                         sparks bursting, or
                                                         swoop low
                                                         over cooling sand
                                                         strewn with glassy shells
                                                         seeking a 3:00 a.m
                                                         lonely hearted love.

                                                         Although,
                                                         I am content
                                                         absorbing solitude
                                                         simply to be- –
                                                                                  me.

English: A live Sand dollar, species Mellita quinquiesperforata (Leske, 1778), at low tide on the beach at Playa Grande on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica 23. February 2005 Sand dollars are flat sea urchins. When you find sand dollars on a beach, the white ones are the old empty shells or tests, having died, lost their covering of velvety spines and having been bleached white by the sun. The live ones are dark and completely covered in very small spines (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Subconscious meanderings- –
sleep’s misty embrace displayed
in fanciful velvet wrapping.
Thought burst rivulets
of emotion flashed
in dream scene electric
light play- -a pleasure
junket in the night.
My direct flight to you
bathed in silver moonlight
strolling some remote beach,
inky waves lapping
white sand over your feet- –
skipping sand dollars
across my heart.

Please don’t wake me
before sun’s fire rises
over my subconscious.
