Solitude
dark morning
Earth yawns
painted autumn
skeletal trees claw
sky- -purple, peach
light comes
quickly
frost glistens
I listen- –
solitude
in waves
light and color
flow brilliant

Afloat
a flat bottom boat
silent, but for your breathing
– -a slow rhythmic tune
playing love notes
in my heart
echoing gentle kisses
in the chamber
your eyes my looking-glass
for love

Handsome,
a candle flickers warm
in your gaze- -I am
held there- -peering in.
We waltz in your crystal
cavern heart- -circles
and laughter.
Dripping silver trickles
down your arm feeding
love between the lines.
Paper ages in ways
unconditional love
will never know.
Hand me the need
I see in the flame- –
tangible- -red,
a key on a chain
for my pocket- -will
let me in safely. I’ll be
pink raspberry
fudge on your tongue
– -melting love.

Angelic sweet Anne
babe so soft- -fragile
sleeping at my breast
and you, her father
next to me
– -the moment
pre-dawn
Outside
snowflakes feather slowly
– -quilted tufts
compose purple-blue sonnets
mounding on trees
of pine and fir
edging the cabin in
nature’s crystal perfection
– -white
collects frosty portholes
in this storm
But the cold wont reach us
– -here- –
wrapped in your arms
love- –
your strength contents us both
– -together
we absorb the warm

His eyes touch me
– -green-brown forest magic
sparks a yearning deep inside
why hide from this
wild tribal vibe
assaulting my senses- -electric
pulses collide- -exploding neurons
burst- -blossoming sweet violets
I settle in- -snuggly
– -a safe settling into the warmth
between dark satin sheets of lashes
wondering how long
this slow devouring
will last- -hoping forever
needing eternity
Anticipating the inevitable
meandering exploration
lures me to the edge
of certain love drug madness
slowly- -gently- -slowly
he begins cutting new trails
– -to my heart
mapping- -untangling
my vinyard refuge
inside.

Trees weep brilliant hues
brisk wind defies darkened peace
your arms my haven
amid ranting frozen rage
crystal white billows
outside- -I nestle in you
legs entwined we sleep
warm- -breathing in unison
we soften the storm
