Ladies wearing white
Hemlock sips Earth’s cool flowing
Hear happy birdsong

Sunrise glows fire
on the wall
bleeding into dreams
less forsaken
than his heart
he stirs- -stretches- –
groans at the start
of another day- -empty
void of her smile- –
touch as tender
as any unconditional love
could be- -wildflower hair,
sun-kissed skin, soft
eyes devouring his soul,
cotton candy in his mouth- –
her lips tempting, he savored- –
etching indelibly in his memory
A tear catching sun sparks
on his face lures his mind- –
reeling- -alone- -lonely, his body aches
back on the bed her ghost
bleeds into dreams
less forsaken than his heart.

An ending
beginning- –
dandelion seeds take flight
on the breeze- -scatter
I view them sideways- -hoping
to catch one without trying.
Mind’s shutter clicks- –
silent echo in gray matter.
Seeds drift onward,
inward- -landing
on a grassy knoll
behind the eyes, pregnant
– -flailing- –
loving wind’s caress,
butterflies dance on thoughts
with neurons exploding.
Lightning strikes.
Energy flows a deluge
freely- –
synthesis in a trickle
toward the heart.- -Soul
drinks in summer tears
– -sighs- -smiles crystallize
creating a memory book
of cherished imprints
for recollection
near the end.

Recoiling
against the cold
I am a baby
absorbing
the warmth of you.
Instinctively
my fingers
take you.
My soul- -you hold
in your being.
You
are
my
soul.

Expose
my heart
render
it still- –
moonlight
playing
across
deep green
forest.
Your eyes
sparkle
eager- –
fervor
diver- -diving
for my
soul’s core.
Hunger’s
power
surging- –
my blood
burns- -race
my heart
on this
firebox
threshold.
I beg- –
urging
our lips
converge,
devour- -requite
our needs.
Moonlight’s
promise
carried
upon
our skin
and its
liquid
silver
sparkle- –
within
your eyes.- –
You have
my heart
exposed.
