Spring- -
winter
unfurls
its feathered wings.
Cold white linen
spreads
over yarrow,
again it hides
for a time.
Oh, how the seasons
push and shove my moods

I yearn for tomorrow’s
return of spring- -
and your sunny smile
warming me
in shades of love
I haven’t dreamed
of yet.  Birds trilling
the way Cyndi sings
“Time After Time”
- -all emotion
the birdsong
warming me
afterall- -sun
will shine
in your eyes.

Eyes closed,
I walk my fingers
over faces I hold
dear and familiar,
absorbing distinct features- -
textures,
a meditation on life,
                                       love.

Smooth autumn leaf faces
awaiting wind’s whispered magic,
to be feathers- -
aloft and dancing.
A cool granite face,
spiked and dimpled- -
dappled lichen scales curl
across the surface.
Times imprints- -
bedtime stories
of musty earth.
Wrinkled pine bark,
a rough face- -weathered
cloaked in whiskered wisps
of tangled moss
tells of north wind’s
brutal snow- -
life in stages- -staged by nature.

Familiar faces,
life’s changes- -
the future of pasts
always present- -ghosts- -
reality and memory,
imagery- -sentience,
eternal love being light.
I read textures in longhand,
the way I write love notes
to lovers I’ll never know- -
knowing those I’ve loved,
I will always love.
Their features immortalized
in natures textures.
Eyes closed,
sentient- -
I walk among the faces
I hold dear and familiar.

Gracefully,
summer’s
magnificent
evolution
explodes.

Open- -ready,
I reach
for your light.

My sweetest man,
dress me
in crystal kisses.
We are summer
in every season.

Love- -
such a sweet
blossoming
within.

My petals curl
in upon themselves
closing at sunset

Hurry- -
kiss me
one last time
before the sun
lays down
beyond
the mountains
to sleep
beneath
a velvet canvas

We follow a trail
long since tangled
in fisted weeds.
Walking back
through pages- -places
other lifetimes
have taken us
leaves thorns
in my thies- -
let me show you.

The back story
leads to now- -
knowing how we got here
is not important,
it’s where we go next.

Darling,
your eyes speak
volumes- -I live
for a great
toe curling read.
Eager
for a luscious ending,
I’ll wait to see
where we go next- -
passion-flower seeds
sprouting my hair.

Universe in motion
energy flows- -Earth flows
constantly in spiral.
Clouds flow electric
energy bends branches
in waves of wind- -
rainbows the sky.
Universe in motion- -
constant humanity,
love energy never dies.
Life in motion- -
seeds driven by song,
rain given promises
carry us along- -
cleansing, purifying.
Moon forced tides roll out,
rising, swelling- -crashing,
a constant pull and push- -
together- -apart,
we’re all a part.

                      My heart flows
                      a river of emotion
                      and motion- -yet,
                      calm- -motionless
                      I listen,
                      surfing vibrations- -
                      clinging only to Earth
                      and her nature of motion
                      in motion.
                      Universal Energy
                      in constant ceremony- -
                      a dreaming,
                      drumming, singing
                      with my ancestors- -
                      sage smoke curling upward- -
                      prayer ceremony.
                      Eternally grateful,
                      I dance
                      to life’s music
                      in universal motion.

Lavender roses- -
rain kissed love
falling petals
my heart feels
and hears
and sees you
in every scent

I’m thinking- -
dreaming
wanting
to taste
the droplets
silvery-lavender
cool sweetness
of your skin
quickly- -
